Well last night at the 206 Lounge on Sullivan Street NYC was a beautiful display of some seriously Big Sexy Music. It was a joy to share the stage with some of my favorite old time friends Sasha Markovic who played a delightfully moody and cinematic set with his outfit Yagull and previewing some new tunes off his CD “Films”. Despite a very boisterous crowd Big Sexy Music cut through the chatter to deliver some sweet and vicious songs sung straight from the heart. It was my up most pleasure to be sharing the stage with Bam Bam “The Bass Walker” on double bass (man is he great) and of course my good pal Peter Rubin who is one bass ass funky guitar player. Following Big Sexy Music my band mate from Crazy Mary and living legend Walter Steding (No Wave punk violin player, produced by Andy Warhol) gave us a taste of the good old days with his invigorating solo set as he wailed it out on his electric violin (shaped like an anchor). Walter and I finished the night off with a heartfelt ukelele/ violin duo which was quite improvised and endlessly enjoyable. It was a beautiful night with beautiful people! Thanks to everyone who came out and shared the love.
